G2 OPTIMUS PRIME WATCH
In the United States during Generation 2 Hasbro released three transformable watches based on Ultra Magnus, Superion, and Galvatron. Each were spring loaded and would pop up from watch mode into a small two inch tall robot. Not to be outdone, Korean bootleggers came up with a two inch tall transformable Optimus Prime watch. While Prime did not have the pop up feature he could be removed from the watch base unlike Hasbro's watches. He also came with a rifle that attached to the base of the watch. The LCD display was not visible unless the vac metallized gold chestpiece was rotated up.

G2 OPTIMUS PRIME MODEL KIT
This was a cool little model kit of the Optimus Prime cab. It's slightly smaller than the original Prime and not all of the details are accurate. I found two of these and both had gold foil plated parts. All of the parts on the Optimus Prime figure that are usually chrome silver are gold on this model. The other parts are molded in red and blue, but don't expect the red parts to match up with the red parts of Optimus Prime. I found that some of these kits had blue plastic where Prime is red, and red plastic where Prime is blue. Sometimes the kits would have the parts molded in the correct colors. I ended up painting mine anyway so the original color of the model didn't matter. The legs of this model differ greatly from the official figure.

G2 PRIME SUPERSIZED
This is a somewhat common oversized and oddly colored bootleg of G2 Optimus Prime. It's complete with many of the accessories a normal G2 Prime came with including the sound effects box. There is no sound effect of Optimus Prime speaking as with the official version, instead it has an extra laser beam sound. The cab is molded in white and black with vac metal gold plated fuel tanks, smokestacks, headlights, and grill. The rims are not gold. The legs are not identical to the official release, but they are the exact same design as the much smaller bootleg G2 Optimus Prime model kit. The overall size is approximately one and a half times that of the official release. I think the graphic on the trailer of the South Korean Transformers Generation 2 logo is pretty cool. Another nice tough is that this set comes with a decal sheet exactly like that of the original Prime, just 150% bigger!

TUFICK MONSTER
Tufick Monster is a bootleg of G2 Laser Optimus Prime. It's more commonly known as "G2 Prime Optimus" because of the reversed chest sticker decals. While this bootleg has popped up in many countries, it was only in South Korea that I found one with the 'Tufick Monster' sticker on the package. Tufick Monster has none of the electronics that the original Laser Optimus came with, but the back of the card has instructions for installing batteries anyways. I have no idea what "Tufick" means. Is it a misspelling of "traffic" or "terrific"? I don't know. Tufick Monster comes with a gold vac metal sword and no other accessories.

The G2 Stationary Set |
Of all the things I found in Korea, this set of G2 inspired stationary made by LaLa is my favorite. There's 4 transformable erasers and a pencil case, all of which are transformable! The pencil case is shaped like Optimus Prime and comes with a ruler and two fists made of pink eraser. It transforms from a 'stationary center' to a robot and then to a truck. |

The erasers are actually tiny models whose parts can be disassembled and reassembled to transform into their various modes. There's Sideswipe, Ramjet, Megatron, and Optimus Prime. The erasers came with the same instruction sheet that shows how to assemble them all. Each character got individual file cards. The Sideswipe I got had neon green eraser parts, unlike the other figures whose eraser parts were made out of neon pink rubber.
