South Korean bootleg odds and ends

THE NOT-QUITE BEAST WARS
One bootleg company packaged toys that were never part of the Beast Wars line on Beast Wars Dinobot cards. The transformations required the robot heads be detached before converting to robot mode. There were three different animals in this set, of which two are pictured here. The cardstock is extremely flimsy and instructions for transforming all three toys are printed on the back. I never found the third animal pictured on the back of the cards.

Toy Manufacturers listings in Seoul's Phone Book

Presented here are pictures I took from the 'toy mfrs' section of Seoul's phone book circa March of 1999. I found a phone book in Seoul, South Korea printed in English so I took photographs of the listings. I intended to go visit some of these places but many of the cities and provinces were out of my way. A lot of infamous bootleg manufacturers are listed here like Olympus, makers of Victory Lion!
